ABOUT

We facilitate community activities.  With the Vision to improve the health, wealth and well being of communities across America and the Mission to provide an atmosphere for the creation and support of innovative, empowering programs that improve the condition of families in our community, SHU Foundation, Incorporated works to change lives one family at a time.

Through various community events and activities, SHU Foundation programs assists at-risk youth and low-income families in their efforts to ensure children are exposed, safe and empowered to best inspire the next generation.

SHU Foundation, Incorporated Programs are:

Afterschool Programs – For low income Title I schools in inner cities around America

Seminars/Clinics – Focusing on community empowerment, financial literacy, leadership and job training skills

Back to School Drive – School supplies donated to low income families with school age students

Food Service Programs – For youth, low-income families and homeless victims.

Health Wellness & Fitness Programs – Track and field events for Historically Black Colleges and Universities throughout America.

We have formed strategic partnerships with local public schools, low-income housing developments and community centers to assist in inner city neighborhoods.  We schedule industry professionals to serve as mentors and speak with the children about the benefits of setting short-term and long-term goals. Moreover, we provide eligible students with internship opportunities and mentors.

These activities are funded through a number of fundraising strategies including grant writing, direct mail and annual events that we encourage you to attend.
